Legislative Day
Save the Date - pending - March 2027 tentative
Who:
Pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy students
What:
Meet with your state representatives & senators and advocate for your profession. Attendees begin the day with Advocacy 101 and review important bills pending before the Illinois legislature. Then everyone participates in the advocacy process, walking to the Capitol and meeting various legislators, sharing the value and impact of current legislation on the profession of pharmacy and most importantly - patient care.

Dress Code:
Business attire. We ask that pharmacy students bring and wear their white coats during the educational session and visits with legislators. Pharmacists are asked to bring white coats as well if available.
Please dress in layers so you may be comfortable based on personal preference. Also, please note, you will need to carry your belongings with you during your legislative visits so pack lightly as needed.
Security:
You must bring with you and always have on hand a valid government-issued ID with photo. This may be required for entrance into the Capitol Buildings.

10:30 am - 11:30 am – Education Presentation: 2026 Illinois Pharmacy Legislative Day

1:00 pm - 1:30 pm – Walk to Capitol for Legislative Visits – A short walk
1:30 pm - 4:30 pm – Location 2: Illinois State Capitol, 401 S 2nd St, Springfield, IL 62701
Meetings with Legislators - Your appointment information will be provided at Arlington’s on Legislative Day.
4:30 pm – Visits end and everyone departs the Capitol.
